Harris Williams advised Rise Baking Company, a portfolio company of Olympus Partners, on their sale to Platinum Equity and Butterfly. Rise is a North American bakery manufacturer that produces a broad portfolio of products for in-store bakeries and foodservice customers, including leading national grocery chains, convenience stores, QSRs, and mass merchandisers.

Rise demonstrates the value creation opportunity for investors in the bakery segment. Through their partnership with Olympus, the company experienced transformational growth and became an even more critical supply partner to their expanding customer base. We are thrilled to have worked with Olympus on another successful engagement and look forward to seeing what Rise accomplishes in their next chapter.

Under Olympus’ ownership, Rise completed several significant acquisitions which transformed the company into a leading provider of in-store bakery products in North America. Rise has a diverse portfolio of bakery products and has created a scalable manufacturing and logistics network that allows them to service national and regional accounts.

Platinum Equity and Butterfly will be excellent new partners to Rise. Platinum Equity’s financial and operational resources and Butterfly’s deep experience as a food-focused and operations driven investment firm will allow Rise to expand their reach and continue to exceed their customers’ expectations.
