M&A Engagement Overview

Industry Group: Energy, Power & Infrastructure
Area of Focus: Power Equipment and Technologies

Harris Williams is advising Sabre Industries, a portfolio company of Blackstone, on its pending majority sale to TPG Rise Climate, TPG’s dedicated climate investing platform. Sabre is a leading provider of highly engineered critical infrastructure solutions for power utilities, telecom companies, and data centers. Funds managed by Blackstone Energy Transition Partners, which first invested in Sabre in 2021, will retain a significant minority stake, continuing Blackstone’s partnership with the company.

This new partnership underscores investors’ continued interest in the essential electrical transmission and distribution infrastructure that is critical to strengthening the U.S. electrical grid and supporting the nation’s high-growth buildout of data centers and digital infrastructure.

Sabre’s utility business, its largest segment, supports the modernization and reliability of America’s electrical grid. Sabre’s integrated enclosures are increasingly used to meet the demands of large-scale data center projects, supporting the nation’s buildout of digital infrastructure. With approximately 2,800 employees and over 2.3 million square feet of purpose-built domestic manufacturing space, the company is trusted by leading utilities and infrastructure partners to deliver high-reliability execution for projects that modernize and strengthen the U.S. electrical grid, telecom, and data center infrastructure.

Sabre’s partnership with Blackstone and TPG will empower it to accelerate its role as a mission-critical equipment provider, meeting rising electricity demand while updating a vulnerable grid. With Blackstone and TPG’s strategic support, Sabre is positioned to enhance grid resiliency at a time when reliability is more vital than ever.
