Harris Williams advised Forensic Technology, a business unit of Ultra Electronics and a portfolio company of Advent International, on their sale to LeadsOnline, a portfolio company of TA Associates.

We are thrilled to have represented Forensic Technology and enjoyed working with Advent International and the Ultra Electronics management team on this transaction. We continue to see strong and growing interest in the government technology sector as investors look to back resilient businesses with a mission to improve public safety.

Based in Montréal, Canada, Forensic Technology offers a comprehensive suite of digital ballistic intelligence software, data, and integrated systems empowering public safety organizations to acquire, analyze, and correlate gun crime evidence more accurately.

The combination of Forensic Technology and LeadsOnline will create a premier digital forensics platform that enables law enforcement agencies to link evidence from a multitude of crimes across jurisdictions through a single source. The new platform will streamline collaboration between agencies globally and enable Forensic Technology to better execute on their mission of creating safer communities.

Forensic Technology offers remarkable complimentary capabilities to LeadsOnline by providing an unparalleled ballistics evidence database (9M+ unique evidence acquisitions) and global install base (2,000+ machines globally) to LeadsOnline’s comprehensive non-ballistic leads generation tools. This new platform will be embedded with blue-chip domestic and international customers from day one and will have significant runway for future growth across all regions worldwide.
