M&A Engagement Overview

Industry Group: Energy, Power & Infrastructure
Areas of Focus:
Utility Services; Substation

Harris Williams advised Maxima Power Group, a portfolio company of Copley Equity Partners, on their sale to Sunbelt Solomon Services, a portfolio company of Trilantic North America.

Mission-critical outsourced technical services for medium- and high-voltage electrical infrastructure have continued to garner significant investor interest given strong tailwinds surrounding aging infrastructure, grid hardening, greater energy demand, and increased outsourcing. Both Maxima and Sunbelt Solomon are committed to being trusted power, energy, and automation solutions providers, and Maxima will help Sunbelt Solomon maintain and expand their market leading position.

Maxima is an electrical engineering, automation solutions, and technical field services provider for substation and other medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment across utility, data center, industrial, and other critical infrastructure markets.

The combination of Maxima and Sunbelt Solomon will address a pivotal segment of the electrical power distribution equipment and services market, bolstering Sunbelt Solomon’s existing strong portfolio of full lifecycle management solutions.

This is a strategic acquisition for Sunbelt Solomon, and Maxima will be an important partner as they continue to enhance their position in the critical power solutions market and expand their presence in key markets across the Americas. The scale of the two businesses’ combined field services and the broader set of Sunbelt Solomon electrical equipment service lines will provide increased value to customers and employees and accelerate the growth paths of the two businesses.
